These are significant examples of my creative work.
Directing
"Floyd Collins" Ramsey Theatre at SKYPAC

I directed Floyd Collins with Ramsey Theatre Company at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center. Our production was nominated for 14 Broadway World Louisville awards. and engaged a lot of wider community including descendants of the characters depicted and the National Park Service.
"Othello" Dream Role Players Theatre

I directed Shakespeare's "Othello" for Dream Role Players. The all BIPOC production received positive reviews and audience feedback.
"American Tapestry: Immigrant Children of the Bread and Roses Strike", Theatre Espresso

I directed the film adaptation of Theatre Espresso's "American Tapestry: Immigrant Children of the Bread and Roses Strike". The project enabled the company to provide virtual versions of it's interactive programs to schools unable to have in-person arts programs due to Covid.

"Nicole Brewer Isn't Waiting for Theatre to Catch Up: Inside “The Antiracist Theatre: Crafting Theatrical Collaboration” For Southern Theatre Magazine

I'm co author with C.J Davison, David H. Parker, and Devin Tyrique Franklin. On a feature article about Nicole Brewer and her book "the Antiracist Theatre: Crafting Theatrical Collaboration". Our article is scheduled to be published in Southern Theatre Magazine in Late 2026. Nicole Brewer's book is available now!
"Keep the Arrows: Interrogating Discrimination in Fandom Through Solo Performance"

My article was awarded the Rocco Dal Vera Graduate Research Award, published in the peer reviewed journal "The Voice and Speech Review", and was selected to be be republished in the book Practitioner Research in Voice Studies.
"Child of the Night: Pirates of the Mediterranean"

I wrote the original adaptation of the 19th century script by Gerard de Nerval, Alexander Dumas, and Victor Sejour. The play was produced by the Western Kentucky University Department of Theatre & Dance.
Performing
"The Scariest Story I know"

I performed an original piece. The Scariest Story I know. At the Kentucky Storytelling Conference. The event draws performers and audience from across the region.
"Jail Break"

I was invited to participate in "Read Work" an artistic effort lead by Xaviera Simmons Studio. The work includes responses from artists across the nation, and lives online at Reading Work
I created a spoken word piece in response to the book "We Do This 'Til We Free Us: Abolitionist Organizing and Transforming Justice" by Mariame Kaba
"Spirits of Salem"

I portrayed Frederick Douglass for the Spirits of Salem Museum. The performance is a holographic projection in the historic exhibit.
Dialect Coaching
"The Hangmen"

I returned to work as dialect coach for Pure Theatre's production of The Hangmen and worked helped the cast develop regionally accurate and unique dialects for the characters.
"Mlima's Tale"

Pure Theatre hired me as dialect coach for their regional premier of Mlima's Tale. I helped stellar cast of four actors develop dialects from countries in Africa, Asia and North America.
"The Importance of Being Earnest"

I was delighted to help Fountain Square Players with the dialects for their production of The Importance of Being Earnest.
Fight Choreography
"Child of the Night: Pirates of the Mediterranean"

Not only did I adapt the script for this but I also served as fight choreographer. In this melodrama most of the characters engaged in combat were either pirates or soldiers who would have learned to fence in similar circumstances. I based the choreography on different European defense traditions.
"She Kills Monsters"

I choreographed the combat for Western Kentucky University's production of She Kills Monsters. It was the most challenging choreography project I've ever worked on. The cast portrayed dozens of fantasy characters and creatures with unique weapons, fighting styles, stylized movement, It is thus far I have choreographed combat vs vogue.
"Beauty and The Beast"

My first engagement with Ramsey Theatre was to choreography the final confrontation in their production of Disney's The Beauty and the Beast.
