Quarantine Performed: I'm going to take Henry's prompt and open it up to Pandemic Performed. The majority of the people in my online circles, like the people in my real life circles are performers and or visual artists of some sort. So Quarantine Performed does not seem comprehensive enough. About the same time LSU closed campus all the performing artists I know received word that the gigs they there depending on to survive the rest of the year were cancelled. My social media feeds were full of anguished posts the likes of which I hadn't seen since the Winter of 2015. The following week people were performing live videos from their homes over social media. Some were videos just to lift spirits, some were videos geared to raise money for charities, and some were adaptations of a real world business model to an online one see History at Play.

  But let's back up to just before Louisiana shut down. Because that's when the Performance, of Pandemic began to touch me. Mysterious videos  were sent through Facebook messenger. These videos all followed a format like this.

The video has all the makings of the first of act of a horror film.

• The distorted voice suggesting this was a phone call to a loved one. That just happened to get recorded. (Do some people psychically know which calls to record or do they just record every call) 
• No one, not the speaker or any of the government employee whistle blowers they mention are identified by name, or full name.
• The cause of the quarantine is NEVER mentioned. This message could have been created during the Ebola epidemic anytime during 2014-2016 as a hoax and could have been floating in the Internets since then.
•  Finally these videos are being passed through Facebook messenger as I said. They're not posted on a youtube or Venmo account. So there isn't a way to trace the video back to a credible source. The Facebook messanger information only lists the person who sent the video to you.

 Everything about the way these messages traveled and anonymously delivered their warning are the reason I considered them Pandemic Performance. I'm a skeptic by nature. But I'm also a life long student of horror. So despite the seeming lack of credibility from these covert messages I went out and stocked my house with supplies for my family. Because the characters who dismiss the evidence that "horror is happening", usually don't live to the credits.
