In 2021 Alan directed the film adaptation of American Tapestry: Children of the Immigrant Strike for Theatre Espresso who uses theater to help students engage intellectually with history, social justice and human rights. Alan was an actor and company member who was honored to serve as director for the film adaptation of one of the most requested performances.
